Introduction to Stage Management (Theory and Practice) *

This workshop introduced and described a stage manager’s role and duties in performing arts venues and theater performances. Participants were introduced to how stage managers take responsibility of the production of a performance from beginning to end, in the rehearsal process, preparations, and during the performance itself. Wright shared with the participants his experience and key learning lessons from working for years as a production and stage manager in Egypt, Palestine, and the UK.
