From 2nd – 13th of May 2010 at Studio Emad Eddin
A Meta video midi music workshop dealing with music and interactive video. The main objective was related to exploring new territory through the expectations of the participants and the available equipment.
The guiding principle behind this workshop was to explore composing an urban landscape within interactive video. This landscape would respond to both midi pulses (keyboards, kaospad, sensors) and music. The midi instruments could be played by musicians or actors / dancers / performers. This responsive environment could be the subject of a work for a concert or a visual backdrop of a dance performance.
*This workshop was under the framework of the Euro-Arab Multidisciplinary Cultural Exchange Project ‘The J.M Liverato Project’
