Phase 1- Composition, arrangement and harmony were the main topics under investigation. Group composition of songs and music also featured as an essential element of the workshop.
Phase 2 – Based on the same subject matter as phase one, phase two invited artists such as Dr. Nicolas F Magriel (Sarangi), Jagdeep (Indian Tabla), members of the Sharkiat music group and several Egyptian traditional musicians for their valuable input.
Fathy Salama is the only Arab recipient of an International Grammy Award.
