From 26th of September – 5th of December 2005 at Studio Emad Eddin
Stage Combat is a form of choreography that allows the audience to believe in the illusion of realistic fighting. Participants were taught the fundamentals of the weight and balance of the body, and learned techniques on how to ground themselves to the floor through increased flexibility and awareness of their centers of gravity. Most importantly, they were encouraged to be fully conscious of what is happening during the combat, for this can be their fastest moments on stage.
At the end of the 2-month workshop, the participants presented a forty-five-minute demonstration of their new skills.
