FACILITIES AND REHEARSAL SPACES
The total space of 435 square meters consists of:

All of the rehearsal spaces have wooden floors (covered with vinyl floor mates), sound proofed double glass windows, full-length mirror covered with curtains and are equipped with air conditioners and basic sound systems
Workshops are open to all applicants provided they fulfill the selection criteria as set out by the trainer (see individual workshop announcements).
Accepted applicants must be members of Studio Emad Eddin.
A limited number of grants are available by separate application to Applicants who have been members of Studio Emad Eddin for at least one year at the time of applying for the grant, have student or unemployed status and have been approved by the trainer for workshop participation.

Orient for Film and Theatre Productions is a Cairo-based private production company. Its mission is to develop quality projects in the fields of entertainment, arts and culture with the involvement of artists from Egypt, the Arab world and beyond. Founded in 2007, it has developed a huge body of experience in hosting events that showcase innovative work in these fields.
The organisational structure of Orient Productions encompasses The Temple Independent Theatre Company. Founded in 1993, it presents the artistic work of Ahmed El Attar to a local and international audience. Orient Productions also oversees the Studio Emad Eddin. Unique within the Arab world, it has been providing rehearsal spaces to independent Egyptian troupes and artists since 2005. The latest edition to the group is Maktabi Creative Office Spaces, which provides private offices in the heart of Downtown Cairo for creatives in need of a long-term work space.
Orient Productions provides a variety of services related to event planning and organisation, including marketing, PR, production, stage management and front of house coordination. Orient Productions takes pride in handling a project’s complete journey from concept to realisation with an unremitting attention to detail that ensures high quality, successful events.
Since 2012, Orient Productions has been organising the annual Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF), the biggest multidisciplinary festival of its kind in Egypt.
