From 23rd of January – 23rd of February 2015 at Studio Emad Eddin
Acting is commonly misunderstood as the art of pretending to be someone else. While that may be superficially true, acting is ultimately the craft of using one’s deeper understanding of one’s self to give the illusion of presenting a character completely removed from one’s self. This workshop focused on the necessity of honesty (with one’s self as well as with a character’s moment) in acting. Participants mainly focused on the abstract, conceptual and material self and how that relates and translates into a character.
