From 16th – 18th of June 2005 at Studio Emad Eddin

The workshop, inspired by Finnish actor, director and gestalt-therapist, Marcus Groth, explored the negative side of effort; how actors often try too hard; how self-criticism and self-awareness can block presence, the true feelings and expressions of what one really is in the here and now. The workshop examined the potential advantages of “being lazy”, of refraining from effort, and took a short look at how, why and for whom actors make such efforts.
This workshop followed performances of “Checkpoint”, a monodrama written and performed by Anders, presented at American University in Cairo, and promoted by SEE Foundation.
