LAURENCE RONDONI
CONTEMPORARY DANCE MENTOR
A former dancer of the French contemporary dance movement of the 1980’s, Laurence co-founded association descent-danse, an experimental laboratory and dance company through which she collaborates with several international artists, in 1996.
In Egypt, she took part in the structuring of the emerging contemporary dance scene alongside a wide network of national, European, and international institutions as well as several artists and independent cultural actors. Since 2002, she has been regularly collaborating with renowned Egyptian choreographer Mohamed Shafik, Studio Emad Eddin (SEE) Foundation, El Warsha Troupe, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and young cultural operator and dancer Ezzat Ismail, among many others.
