Phase 1- By Ramsi Lehner (Egypt):
Participants were encouraged to explore, through improvisation, the fundamentals of communication and problem solving on and off stage.
Ramsi explained and demonstrated basic skills and techniques, which lead to the creation of a spontaneous, improvised, one-act play, performed at Studio Emad Eddin on April 5th, 2007.
Phase 2- By Ramsi Lehner (Egypt):
The second phase of the workshop went on to apply the fundamentals dealt with in the first phase, building coherent scenes out of improvised ideas, working through an individual participant’s initial intention towards a common objective. The workshop was followed by a presentation, at Studio Emad Eddin, of the scenes created by the participants.
Phase 3- Story Telling – By Ramadan Khater (Egypt):
The workshop focused on using personal material from each participant and transforming it through the technique of storytelling and dramaturgy into performance material. The work of the 19 participants was presented in a Demo entitled “We Will Tell a Story” on October 7th 2007 at Studio Emad Eddin.
