a One-Day Workshop “Introduction to Scenography; Set Design” with Ahmed Ashmawy.

This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to scenography. This workshop will go beyond traditional set design, focusing on how to develop a conceptual design that strengthens a performance’s main themes and ideas. It will also cover the set designer’s relationship with the full artistic team, from the initial concept to final implementation.

The workshop is led by Ahmed Ashmawy, founder of Gazebo Productions and AlaFein, and a distinguished set designer and technical director. With over a decade of experience, Ashmawy has been a key creative force for institutions like the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF) and Orient Productions and has collaborated with numerous renowned international and local artists.
