Performing Moawad – Damien Gabriac (France)
An acting workshop, touching upon the experience of acting intense emotions, with reference to the writings of acclaimed playwright, Wajdi Moawad.

About the Workshop:
The plays of the Franco-Lebanese playwright Wajdi Mouawad are full of murder, death, rape, love and laughter. In this workshop, Damien Gabriac, the leading actor of Mouawad’s play John, will accompany participants as they learn to dig into their anger, joy and grief. They will listen to their emotion’s inner cries and allow them to resound within. After all, an actor only has themselves as an instrument. It is self exploration which will equip them to play characters like those Wajdi Mouawad has written.
