Technical Theater: Introduction to Light Design Workshop*

This introductory workshop aimed to work with and explore light as a strong narrative element while explaining what it means to be a light designer. This workshop included theory of light and light design, and focused on how to use light design for dramaturgy purposes – how to tell a story though light. Mauplot shared with the participants his experience and key learning lessons from working for years with several theatre companies in France as a Light Designer and Scenographer, and also as the Technical Director of an annual 3-week theatre festival in Marseille.
