The Art of Light Design for The Theatre*

From 29th of September – 10th of October 2013 at Studio Emad Eddin.

The workshop covered both the techniques and the art of stage lighting. Students were primarily trained to see how stage lighting works and how to think creatively about lighting.

Over the course of a week, the students were shown and actively participated in designing lighting for a whole play, exploring a variety of technical as well as creative options. This was first conducted in a black box setting and was later implemented in a state-of-the-art 250 seat theater.
