Towards the within
We all hold parts which may carry pain that sometimes we try to exile and sometimes the healing process can be painful.
By listening and dialoguing with those wounded parts with curiosity, without judgement, and with compassion, we may be able to accept them, feel compassion or heal them so that they would transform and connect us to our original self, who is essentially joyful, spontaneous, loving compassionate and curious .
In this 2 day introductory workshop, through fun games and exercises of warming up the body and voice, through sharing and connecting, a drama process involving role play and dramatic scenes, this workshop might help in connecting to our aliveness, spontaneity, creativity, feelings, wisdom as well as our inner and external worlds and the ones of others. Being in a safe and free environment, it may help in gaining insight, and working on particular areas of our lives in which we could be experiencing difficulties, past or present ones. This workshop might help in reacting differently to whatever the protagonist wishes to address, and offers a possibility for change.
No previous experience in acting is required.
The main language of the workshop is Arabic. This workshop does not replace therapy in private or group sessions with a professional therapist.

PSYCHODRAMA
Psychodrama is an action method, most frequently used for personal growth and psycho therapeutic purposes. In psychodrama, participants use role-play and spontaneous dramatization to develop self-awareness, release unwanted burdens, and practice specific actions they may wish to integrate into their life and relationships. Originally developed by Jacob L. Moreno, M.D. (1889–1974), psychodrama is now used in a variety of clinical and community-based settings around the world.
