The Embassy of France in Egypt , in partnership with Orient Productions and with support from the Fonds d’Appui à l’Entrepreneuriat Culturel (FEF-Création), is proud to launch the second edition of the “Premières x 2B Continued” program – an ambitious initiative dedicated to empowering emerging performing artists in Egypt and fostering international cultural exchange.

About the Program
“Premières II x 2B Continued” is an artistic and professional development program designed to:
- Support the production and public presentation of 10 new contemporary theatre and dance performances over 2 years, across 2 separate phases.
- Deliver an intensive training and mentoring process to artists, creators, and technical professionals.
- Promote cross-cultural exchange with the French cultural scene.
- Facilitate the local and international dissemination of new Egyptian productions.

For Selected Productions:
- A production grant of up to 10,000 EUR
- 6 weeks of rehearsal and production support
- Performances in Cairo and in Alexandria
- Potential project pitches at D-CAF Festival
- Possible opportunity to travel to France in 2026, to meet with cultural institutions and curators
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to theatre directors and choreographers living in Egypt.
- Directors and choreographers should have produced 1 or 2 previous performances.
- Applicants must demonstrate experience or formal training in the performing arts.
- All applicants must commit to full participation in the program schedule.
